~Weekend~

Just like a flash and sun is almost gone...

Sigh.. another 5 days to slog again after the weekend and as expected, didnt achieve much during sat and sun as im still down with flu and now im starting to show signs of dry cough. Sigh... Big time sickness coming.

Sent Mum to the market on sat (Wow.. filial rite!) and accompanied her to get the groceries, had lunch with her before i proceed back to office for NDP. Well, work as usual, but the most rewarding part of the work was the incentive to be part of the flypast over padang. As i mentioned, it was incredible to watch it over the air and an experience that i would never have gotten if i wasnt part of the SAF. Simply amazing!

Well, it party time for the colleagues rite after that at balaclave as we celebrate Doris last few moments as a civil servant. Well, she all ready to be a "tai tai" It was the usual gang meetup over drinks and chit chat and i do enjoy these sessions to gossip over the latest news in office as well.

Sunday came and i felt damn nuah in the morning. Things i did:

1) Had chicken rice in Clementi with Joe.
2) Went to golf course for practise
3) Had Dinner (jap food.. Hippie) with Ben and Xinyi
4) Bought my clubs bag.. Ex sia...
5) Didnt blade/ do my work/ prepare my files. DIE DIE DIE>>.......

Joe says i lack motivation, which i think so too... need to re-light the fire in me again. Else im just going down hill.... haha...

A bug's weekend!

NDP Preview

Watched NDP from the air for the very first time in Bug's life. - Simply Sensational!

Maybe that is a previlege in my line of work, which allows me to travel to different place and taking part in these national activities. I was overwhelmed by the crowd alone esplanade, westin, fullerton and of cos Padang.

A sea of reds greated us as we overflown Padang and the ppl in the stands looks like small little red ants from where i was and kinna looks like my fellow community gathering ard looking for food. Haha....

It was an experience that i can never forget.

Kudos to the man and woman behind NDP 2005 for making them possible..

"sacred vows"

Marty wakes up at home with a huge hangover.
He forces himself to open his eyes, and the firstthing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table.
He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him,all clean and pressed.
Marty looks around the roomand sees that it is in a perfect order, spotless, clean.
So's the rest of the house. He takes the aspirins andnotices a note on the table

"Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early togo shopping. Love you."

So he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there isa hot breakfast and the morning newspaper.
His son isalso at the table, eating.Marty asks,

"Son, what happened last night?"
His son says,

"Well, you came home after 3A.M.,drunk and delirious. Broke some furniture, puked inthe hallway, and gave yourself a black eye whenyou stumbled into the door."

Confused, Marty asks,

"So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?"

His son replies, "Oh that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you said,"Lady, leave me alone, I'm married!"

** Wonder will anyone actually say that when he/she is drunk. First time that i actually came across this. Something out of the norm and really romantic/nice to hear.

I would have made breakfast for my wife if she says that to me.. tsk tsk...**

Time to get things right

Down with flu, throat getting sore, back still hurts and Mitsu is disfigured!

What can go more wrong...

Y does bad things always comes in abundance and sweet moments never lasting. Sigh..

Been talking to a fren alot recently on issues in the Bible as he tries to seek God. Feel very happy for him that he's starting to be inquisitive abt the Christian life and started to look at myself how lousy i have been a Christ brother to him. Its seems that my fate too has been backsliding and time now to really reflect and get close to Him. Perhaps all these that are happening to my life now are tests of God? Obstacles and challenges at this stage of my life to make me appreciate the world better. Perhaps i can understand humans better through these series of events that has been pondering in my life. And once i seek God for answer, i will get closer to him and show me the way.

Anyway, finally completed reading "Tues with Morrie". Took me about a month to finished this small book. sigh... Been a really slow reader and aslo bog down by my numerous activities that i have been engaging in. Told joe that this book isnt as spectacular as i tot it could be, as this is primarily a biography of Morrie in the last stage of his life. However, the style of which this is written is amazing and strongly encourage to those who havent read it yet. simple yet keep you going.

So im starting on my next book "the purpose driven life" which talks about what on earth am i here for and i think its a good time to be reading this to get some source of motivation and encouragement in times like this!

TENSION relief

Got this passage from a good fren of mine...
Either he is too free and he is damn good in English..

The moment you are in TENSION
You will lose your ATTENTION
Then you are in total CONFUSION
and you'll feel IRRITATION
This may spoil your personal RELATIONS
Untimately, you won't get COOPERATION
And get things into COMPLICATION
Then you may raise CAUTION

And you have to take MEDICATION
Why not try understanding the SITUATION
And try to think about the SOLUTION
Many problems will be solved by DISCUSSION
Which will work out better in your PROFESSION

Don't think this is a free SUGGESTION
It is only for your PREVENTION
If you understand my INTENTION
You'll never come again into TENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And for me to BLOG this, Im definately too free....

~PAIN in the back~

Feeling weak..

Back injury hasnt heal as fast as i would have love too. With the amount of sport activities lining up. really wonder if im wasting my time doing all these training, when i feel the pain all the time.

Golf on monday wasnt that satisfying when each swing comes with a pain till i have to call time-out to rest. Sigh... really feel that the body isnt as hardy as before anymore...

Bowling today was bad.... cant even hit a decent average. I tot my shots were good, but as usual, they key word here is "I TOT".. (The usual army term of u think... i tot... who confirm). Cant get the pins to fall, miss simple spares = D.E.A.D

Shall not use my injured back as a lame excuse for my lousy performance. Dont tink it affects me to such an extent. Guess the more expectations i have, the lousier i feel usually.

Moral of the story:

"Expect less" ?? ...... neh............... "but continue to work hard to perform better next time rite"?

On a more serious note,
work is getting tougher by the day. Still tied down by lots of incomplete work and meetings to attend. Sometimes i feel that these meetings disrupt my work cos usually, nothing beneficially for me comes out of it. Im basically there just to show my presence and to take the shit if it comes along.

Guess i need another long break soon before my leave gets frozen from Oct - June next year. kinna sad rite... but that is the price u have to pay when i put on the uniform!

Time to get away...

Wake up to a brand new SATURDAY

Woke up in the nice rainy weather and feel like the world has stopped, telling me that i should just snuggle back to bed. Sigh... But just cant get back to dreamland knowing that im already woken up by the noise generated by my retired parents.

Tossing left and right just isnt going to bring me to bed and hence decided to crawl out in this nice and comfy weather.

Decided to use my brand new ORAL B VISION toothbrush that i just bought on Thursday. Haha... The old one im using is abt... 1 yr old?? cant really remember when i last changed it. But the brush is slowly fraying and not rubbing on my teeth as hard as i would have love. hehe... *Im quite picky hor* haha...

This new toothbrush is amazing...Toothbrush technology has evolved over the years till i cant understand how different brushes work nowadays! There are so many to choose from. From different hardness to different angles in which the brush is inclined. Kaoz... Giving me such a hard time to decide which is suitable for me. hehe...

Still remember the days that toothbrush comes only in one standard format with one standard flat brush, where the only choice is colour and length. haha... Since then my mum has been the one buying brushes until recently, where i have officially taken over my own toiletries!

Well, i must say this brush works wonder! hmm.. or it could be the feeling from all new brushes. Feel very clean and fresh.... and of cos SATISIFIED!! haha..

Vulnerability

Havent been blogging as much as i would have love too as im simple drained this week. Too many events happening together at the same time that im hardly able to keep up with it. Events overtaking each other that, things just flashed past you without you even realising.

Feeling down... Not that there was tonnes of work. but some drastic events at work, which made you realised how vulnerable life is. One moment, you can be happily smiling, talking and greeting each other goodbyes and next, that very person who you love to chat with is no longer around. Such changes is just part and parcel of this ever revolving earth, but something we never thought of this when we were young. But somehow, it just struck me

Will we never get the chance to say "I love you" to the person whom you like? By procrastinating and holding back, are you doing injustice to yourself knowing that you might not be able to say it tomorrow again? Are we treasuring our loved ones enough to tell them that you appreciate their cooking and companionship cos you might not get to do it again. "Tues with Morrie" taught me to be ready to accept death cos by accepting it, you are eventually preparing for it. You start realising when your deadlines are and start setting your aims and goals so that you will live a life of no regrets when the time comes to say your final farewell.

So, here i am, witnessing the dramatic in life yesterday. Sadness, Anger and Love filled the meeting room, and i just wanna say thank you to all my frenz out there for their constant hand in pulling me when the times are bad and strolling along the beach with me when i need the extra ears and shoulders.

To the one i love: I just wanna say "I LOVE you" no matter where you are!

**pink or white are just choices in life, but its the love in the heart that matters**

The Weather is just nice to N.U.A.H

From golf training session --> blading --> clubbing at Mdm Wong, and subsequently to Vino Vino and -->the later supper on sat nite, and --> more blading on Sun, my body is showing symptoms that it requires a time out! haha...

Firstly, Thumb hurts after Bug tried acting smart and probably hold the club wrongly and with the continuous rubbing, Bug's fragile fat thumb was torn rite at the center. Damn.. really hurt now.

Secondly, my waist and wrist are feeling the muscles ache from the continuous twisting and turning of both muscle group. Sigh... looks like, i haven done enough warm up!

So it was a warm welcome for the nice weather this afternoon, when all you can do is snuggle into bed and nuah. Didnt even need to read a book to fall asleep. haha... So *konk* i went and zoom into neverland for 3 hours. No dreams this time tough cos maybe i dreamt too much the last nite. (Not a frequent dreamer too)

Nice and good rest.. feel recharged for the week. Tonnes of work awaiting for me to clear after Boss re-iterate the need to finish off the reno plans as soon as possible.. Guess i have to work on it fast to get the draft and master plan out. Sigh... so many work, but only 2 hands and 1 brain...

Olympics to LONDON

After the nerve racking voting for the host of the 2012 Olympic venue,

London won by a mere 4 votes to beat favourites Paris. It was kinna sad to see the disappointed French on TV.

BIG BEN still beat Eiffel Tower in the End. Hmmm... But i must say the view from Eiffel tower is still breath taking...

London in 2012, here we come.....

London Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, falling down.
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair lady!

New Skin, New Me.

I Changed my BLOG outlook!!

Certainty more refreshing than the previous skin I had, which also signifies a new Me..
Not that there is any change to Bug's life or to any of my routines (sad to say!), but suddenly the passion and enthusiasm in me is burning yet again.

This translates to me wanting to jog this evening, but washed Mitsu in the end. Was busying fighting war to regain my territory from the roaches, but glad that there wasnt any to be found today. *I would have certainly fainted if i did find any* For information, my boot was emptied (by myself), searched (by myself) and finally cleaned (still by myself) in an attempt to prevent any more ah-qiangs from visiting. Thank God that there was only one!

After the hour of exercise, I drained of energy to do my running. Completely exhausted and tired after washing the car. (Its not easy feat! pat on my back).. Hopefully, I will still remain that energetic and enthusiastic for the coming weeks.. hehe... Will do some exercises at home tonight to get fit for IPPT.. hehe...

Selamat Malam (Need to start practising my Malay in prep for my coming exams!)

Changed Anz.... Hopefully for the better... =)

Secret Occupant

Guess what when i opened my boot, "A small Xiao Qiang" was found living by the side of the compartment.

KAOZ.... How did he ever get in there.... Damn... There isnt any food item in my boot, cos anyone who have seen my boot know what stuff i have inside... From rackets, to shoes and cloths, to washing equipment.. What the hell did small "Xiao Qiang" feed on??

The next obvious question is: Is he the only one living there??? Can there already be a colony of them staying in Mitsu? Damn.. The more i think, the more sleepless i am becoming....

Seems like Bug's getting more company. Will have to clear out my boot real soon to fight against these illegal immigrants..

Have a bad feeling that my territory is invaded....

Start of Price war again

Guys... Hurry.. While stock last...

25%...

Its now or never.......

Guys. Only. Ladies. Forbidden

That the name for the game ~G.O.L.F~.. Dunno why it has such weird name in the first place.

Finally, after procrastinating for so long and thinking about learning the game.. I finally did it.
Started my first lesson as a beginner golfer in Sembawang country club.. Just next to where i worked, and i must say.. Its tough.. *tougher than bowling!!* More complicated and more demanding. There are so many postures and movements in the game that i looked so toopid in it! Haha.. Coach was demanding too and always kept a constant watch on me, like a prisoner, waiting for me to make a mistake and correct me. Sounded so dumb when i couldnt even get the basic rite! Sigh.. Look damn "Sia Suay" among all the golfers in the driving range..

Coach- (Mr Chen) is rather fatherly. Haha... Very patient with toopid Bug too. hehe... correcting my posture, backswing, upswing and my finishing.. Like 10 times for each stage.. cos basically, im not used to holding the club and my body is rather stiff. haha... But guessed that what he's paid for.

All thanks to Ben and Ck for dragging me to join the course. haha.. or eles, i would still be lazy to pick up this game.. Its the companionship that counts rite? haaha... But guess im the lousiest one among the 3 of us. *Not talented in sports bah... sigh*.. PPl who see me blade can justify for that...
Hopefully, by the end of the course, Bug's can actually whack the ball properly and not "ma lu" himself in front of others. haha...

Seems like its bowling - tennis - Blading - Golf... Hmmm... wats next for me??
...................... Bungee Jump.....................

Sports schedule for the week

Tues - Bowling
Thur - Driving Range
Sat - Golf lesson + Roller Blade
Sun - Roller Blade

Its getting exciting....
