Drummer vs Harmonica... New Vs Old.. who wins after all??

Remember the kid who drums in orchard, with his dad by the side watching? Im sure most of us know who this little fellow is.. the cute little one who is good on the sticks.

Well, as i was walking past orchard today, he was there drumming along, with a huge crowd gathered around him to witness his skills and technique on the drums, with many taking photo/video along the way. The crowd cheers and applause after each song and kindly show their appreciation by donating while he performs. At the comer of my eye, i saw this old man, probably in his late seventies and wearing a singlet, playing on his harmonica along the same stretch of road. He was playing oldies like "ye lai siang" on his old harmonica, which make no sense to most people, and also awaiting for people to contribute some money for his gimmick.

However, there was no one.... Not even a single soul around him listening to what he has in stored.

Deep inside me, i was wondering, why the old man didn’t choose a better location to bask and conduct his business? Was the old man trying to catch the crowd that is watching the drummer and hoped that people would also notice him as well?

Was his hoping that people while watching the cool drummer will also sympathise him and put some money into his small biscuit box as well? (Well, if he was thinking of that, he probably think wrongly, as I didn’t see anyone contributing while I walked past. However, I should reserve my judgment.

Are oldies (be it man or the song) is no longer appreciated? .. Food for thought..

World Jump Day... or so it seems...

Well, it was reported on http://www.worldjumpday.org/ that the world can be saved of it global warming through the efforts of human being. On 20 Jul 11.39.13 GMT, the earth can be driven out of its orbit by the combined effort of 600 millions human being jumping together. By doing so, the force generated on earth is enough to shift its present planetary dimension to another, thereby level the global climate.

When i first heard this , it was very much unbelieving. Deep inside, i was thinking how could the movement of human beings at different parts of the world create such an impact without cancelling each other, let alone to move the earth. As it turns out, FD told the audience that it was just a prank. ** Who on earth is so free to create such a storyline and post it on web, creating so much debate**

btw, even if you believe in it, its only meant for people in time zone from GMT -11 to GMT +2. People who jumped outside this zone would neutralise their effort..... haha....

Update #2..more will come as the days pass by

In order to keep me going, heres update #2.

Bug's life isnt all about being a worker antz, but like the movie, there romance and friendship surrounding me.

Well, as for love life, things are nice, heart-warming and good. I must say Jeanno has been an exceptional partner. She been very supportive of my decisions and indeed a very understanding partner. There had been many occasions whereby i was held up in office even though we were supposed to meet at a certain time. I still clearly remember the day when watched the dance "Burnt The Floor". During that event, I was effectively 40 mins late as i was held up in office as our department needed to submit a proposal the following day. Coupled by a traffic jam while i'm on my way to the theatre, did do me much favor. Most people would have expected "showers, thunderstorm" scenario from their partners when that happen, but she truly recognise the situation i'm in. She has probably by now accepted it, but I'm not sure whether she had gotten used to it!! haha...

Seeing some of my friend's fate with their partners, i must say, she has been tremendously supportive of my work!

As for friendship, sorry guys/gers if i have been MIA for sometime. Its not that jeanno has soaked up all my hours and attention, (gotta help defend her here as well rite!) cos she really doesn't. I have been wanting to meet up with you all (Joe, JacK, John, Corr, XW, ZQ, Qi and the others), but somehow weekend seems to be the only available time slot that most of us have, as most of us have since take higher responsibilities in our respective fields. And as weekends are precious to all, we have somehow faded. Rest assure you people are always in my heart and i will try to organise an outing soon!

Luv,

update #1 since May

Hmm.. I was complaint of inactiveness in writing.. which largely explains why i blogged this issue....

To set the record straight. this blog has yet to "decompose". It just that bug's been tied down with many on going changes in life. (which is expected as well, for a man hitting his 30's soon!! Omg...)

As usual, my work predominantly occupies my entire weekdays. Energy sucking from 8am till i leave. You may call me lousy, weak or low in capacity, but I just feel "brain cramp" once i reached home. this is where and a sense of lethargic sets as well and naturally inhibits any other possible activity in the night, so as to allow recuperation for the next day. With age catching up, recovery seems to be slower than usual.

Weekends are precious. After a good 5 days work week, it always a welcome break to loosen up and interrupt the mundane working cycle. Been wanting to do so many outstanding things such as fishing, organising a picnic, but been procrastinating. * must really force myself to work on it!

Well, in essence, nothing much has changed. Buggy is still the same shortie (probably fatter now), drivning the same blackie. Still kinna slow in reading (and many other things) and a boring nut in many ways....

stay tune to update #2 soon..... hopefully..... Shall end this with a joke for a good laugh

True story,
I was happy. My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream! There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and that one thing was her younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight mini skirts and low cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when near me and I got many a pleasant view of her underwear. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else.

One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't really want to overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total shock and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and went straight to the front door. I opened the door and stepped out of the house. I walked straight towards my car. My future father-in-law was standing outside. With tears in his eyes he hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family.

"The moral of this story is:"
"Always keep your condoms in your car." Hmmmm........
