An Unfulfilled Stomache

I was in Mindef this morning to do some coordination work and met Bernard while i was in the carpark. Surprisingly, he Jio me for lunch, which I readily agreed.

Was quite hungry by that time as I didn't had breakfast this morning and wanted to eat food of higher carbohydrates content, but to my dismay, they are going to eat porridge. **sigh**

Lunch was porridge with egg, fishcake, ikan belis, peanuts and salted vege. There was no meat and it cost 6 per per head. damn ex...

Amazingly, there was no dinner at home too when I got home. Mum and Dad was not around and I was too tired to go out to buy dinner. So guess what; Its plain meggie mee for dinner.

Both lunch and dinner were unfulfilling.

I ill-treated my stomach... need to sayang him tml

Feeling Lonely

It's a Saturday and I'm bored at home. My only motivation for the day is to attend a wedding tonight.

I was thinking hard of the things that I could do at home (work, work and more work) and that kinna irks me, cos i don't seem to have a life. damn...

PQ was out training with her "team" for the competition. Something that I would do if I was still bowling competitively. However, I've moved on cos I know I simply cannot afford the time to train... and bowling certainly needs training.

To add salt to the wound, the TV shows across all channels sucks today and I even tried playing games on my XBOX to kill time.

Zz.zzzz..

No Longer Bonded

Yeah....

I completed my bond and can seek new employment...

Anyone willing to hire me??... hehe.. I'm rather good at PowerPoint and Open Office.. so making presentation is not a problem for me. haha...

Beside that, I'm good at documentation, following rules and protocols and works orderly according to timeline given. Lastly, I'm good at catering for contingency.

If my resume is good enough, kindly hire me!!! haha...

Kinna Fustrating

Its fustrating when:

1) When you set out to buy 2 things over the weekend only to realise that the first shop is nowhere to be found in the building and the second shop isn't open on a Sunday.

2) When the renovation contractor made some fundamental errors that will take great pain to rectify.

3) You selected 5 choices of wall paper, but none of them is available. What a waste of time.

Transformation of a Man

I had dinner with Ben yesterday at Serangoon G when he posed this question which I had a hard time answering.

"Do you think your partner has influenced you in a certain way and vice versa". This question was asked in the context of food preferences whereby Ben told us that he has since moved to eating boiled chicken versa roasted chicken after meeting XY and since then onwards, he only eats boiled chicken to suit XY.

I paused for a while and looked at PQ in the face to think through if we have ever changed our likings since we got together. There were many bubbles forming in my head to find an answer.

Frankly, I dont have an answer at that point in time, as our eating habits have not changed since getting together. For example, I still prefer boiled chicken rice whereas PQ loves roasted chicken rice and we have never tried to influence each other to try to accept what you like! The way two of us works is that we have came to an agreement to "disagree" on issues that we cant resolve and move on. Thereis no point trying to convince each other of your preference (and it applies not just to food). If PQ wants to eat roast chicken while I prefer the other, we will just go about and order 2 separate plates.

And it is not necessary a bad thing to look at it. Firstly, there is less disagreement per se, and secondly, you are who you are and why do you have to change if that is not what you like.

Loooonnnggg Weekeeeendddd....

Its a long weekend, yet I'm at home at working. Sad life, but that's my schedule as NDP gets into the final preparation phase.

Also realised that there isn't any public holiday in the month on June and July... OMG! Holiday drought... Also realised that my big Day is only 6 months away and there are still lots of issues to work on. I don't even know if I have sufficient time to prepare for it since I'm going for an extended course starting Aug. In essence, my "plate" is full...

Anw, here is what I intend to do today:

1) Go tailor a suit later for the big Day!
2) Get a pair of matching shoe.

Dunno how much that is going to cost me. Time to stress my bank account again... =(

Reno update

Reno is progressing real slow, to an extent that I felt I could have done it much faster myself. Its been 10 weeks since it started and I think Miko needs another 3 weeks to complete it.

Not that I'm renovating it to become a palace, but I think she is too slack.. sigh... but she offer the best value for money given the materials she used and the workmanship.. well.. it just reinforced the believe that "when u pay peanuts... u get monkeys"

Here are some pics to share...

<<----- 2m Mirror in the living room. I love it!

<<----- 3 tier "doe, ray me", shoe cabinet, and most of it isn't mine.. haha

<<----- TV console that was designed by PQ and myself. Need to make amendments as Miko got the power sockets wrongly placed. sigh....

<<----- Our red hot kitchen. a place u cant miss.

85 days more to go

yes!!! NDP 08 is only 85 days away... scary isn't it.. more so when there are still so many things to do.

This will be my final
NDP before I hand over the baton to Garrett and it's going to be an event that I will miss organising, but like every things in life, it must go when its time to.

My relationship with
NDP can be described as a love/hate relationship... "Love" in the sense that i enjoyed the company of the "brothers" that slogged together with me. Kudos to ppl like Ray, Fred, Alex and GPL, who are the nicest ppl to hang out with and made work so much fun even though the meetings can be draggy and boring at times. On the "hate" front, top of my list are the numerous quotations that I have to get even though I'm buying a 20 dollar stuff.. This can drive you crazy and these are the occasion whereby one gets vulgar. There were many occasions where I just want to say "F$%@" it.. I will pay!! This effort is just not worth it.. (You know what I mean...)

Looking at my long "To-Do-List", I just hope I can pull this event off and place my name among the greats who have completed it. It not going to be easy, but I will strive to make this event
sensational for the nation. I experienced this feeling as deputy in 07 and it was great. Hopefully it will be a new high this 09 Aug and to achieve it, the next 85 days will probably be the busiest days in my life.

Wish me luck and pray for me...
