Start of Renovation Works

Haven't had the time recently to blog. Not excuses, but 2008 has been a busy year for me with train of projects handed to me, which don't seem ending.. Not in the near future. As far as i know, I'm rather occupied till September at the very least. And there is the wedding plans coming at the end of the year too.

In the midst of the heavy workload, there is still renovation works that i have to oversee upon as I'm rather particular about the small details (the tiling, the carpentry works and lights, etc). anw, its once a lifetime thingy, so you will agree with me that i should rather spend more effort on it to ensure that everything is according to what you want. The side effect to this is i guess more white hair.. haha..

Anw, renovation works for the house has just started, following CNY. Shall update some of the pics here for memory of my personal journey and for all to see.

How it looked when I first bought over...

Here are the pic showing the living room, kitchen, and the toilet when I first took over the house. Everything here will be hack away. In fact everything in the house as the previous owner was an old uncle and he did not maintain the house properly. Hence most of the things you see are rather old and you can see that he left an old flask behind too.

Reno Film hunting was equally filled with anxiety and excitement. It was also tiring. There are so many films to choose from in the market and every time you visit one, you get more confused as to what you want as each will present to you a different design. So we limited our research to 5 of these films and eventually chosen BAROQUE D'zsign (http://www.baroquedesign.com.sg/) due to pricing and ID was friendly to work with.

Here are some of the initial 3D drawings...

The theme will be modern contemporary, and we will be choosing all the bright colours to go along with it. Hopefully, the end results will be nice.
