HP - and the goblet of fire

Met up with Joe this evening to catch "Harry Potter - and the goblet of fire". Was supposed to meet him at abt 7pm but only managed to leave office at about 7.25 as our department meeting was dragy. close to 4 hours of sitting inside the meeting room listening to briefings and boss guidances pertaining to the issues raised.. haha.. almost fell asleep. =)

Hmmm.. The show was not too bad.. But Joe said it wasnt up to his expectation and he was bored at the beginning of the show. Well, we concluded that ppl who read the book will probably have known the full content of the movie plot and that you would have expected much more than ppl like me who is simply contented with the movie effects and the seeing the progression of Harry, Ron and Hermione in their 4h year of study. Given its only 2.5 hours.. there is only this much that can be shown on the screen rite.... so dont expect too much else no one is going to get the books!

Both of us also came to the following conclusions:

1) "Voldemort" isnt as fearful as it seems to be! haha..
2) Hermione is getting more beautiful by each episode... soon to be a real beauty when she grows up!.. Drew Barrymore in the making!... talk abt investment since young! haha...

In all, i did enjoy the show and will be waiting for another yr before school at Hogwarts starts for the next episode of HP and the order of the phoenix... till then.. =p

Harry Potter & the kingdom of Anz..... haha... talk abt being lame at 1am in the morning..

Weekend.. wee....

Caught "RENT" over the weekend and not that fanastic that i tot it would be. sigh... **Maybe i expected it to be among the likes of "SAIGON" or "SINGING IN THE RAIN" .. But sad to say, it wasnt!

@@Rent@@ - Sweeping all major theatre awards, including 1996 Tony Award for Best Musical as well as the Pulitzer Prize, RENT captures the heart and spirit of a generation. Inspired by Puccini’s La Boheme, RENT is a joyous, breathtaking and often heartbreaking musical that celebrates a community of young artists as they struggle with the soaring hopes and tough realities of today’s world.

But to give credits, Karen Mok is fantastic in this. Her excellent vocal and her acting is no doubt something to look forward to whenever she is on stage. so it wasn't that bad afterall... =p (looking forward to west side story in april.. hehe..)

Had dinner at this Jap restaurant in Bugis on sat evening and i must say, it fanastic.. more than made up for the musical. haha.. though it was expensive. **I would say, its in the league of Wasabi Bristro - Marina**

Sashimi was fresh and the dinner set we ordered comes with appititizer, sidedishes and desserts. wow... it was certainly a nice mouth watering meal.

Spent most of my sunday's playing with Jig Saw puzzle.. really testing my patience and eyesight. haaha... the pieces are so similar. till i got a headache. haha...

Almost couldnt remember my login ID as i havent got the chance to write this online diary for ages. **14 days in fact**

Haha.. been really tied down... Oh well.. life has got a bit different. so you cant blame me for having less time nowadays. So many things that i want to do, but only 2 hands and a brain.

Got a shocker this week that boss isnt coming back from his 6 weeks "lollipop" trip and he has decided to go to Gold Coast for a holiday... *damn,, WTF* This equates to me having to cover his duties for another week more! sigh.. life is so so unfair. Looking at the projection, I cant clear my leave till at least end January when CNY is over. sigh... BTW, Im planning to go on a holiday if possible in early Feb... Maybe to aussie.. =P (My turn to get a well-deserved break from work)

BTW.. next will be west side story in April! Hoho.... another broadway performance. =p

As usual, been busy with work and plenty of meetings to attend on behalf on boss. well, sometimes i feel cheated having to attend these meetings when i dont even know what im suppose to be doing there. haha... kinna under representation and stressful at times when u are asked questions that you have no answers to. feel stupid as well too! well, another week more before i can say goodbyes to these meeting! haha...

Dinner with Mummy...

Ya.. it was weird...

Cant recall when it was the last time i ever dine with mummy alone... Hmmm.. Probably when i was still a kid bah...

Decided to knock off damn early today (5.45pm) when the sun was still clearly visible (though it was raining and the traffic was bad as a few traffic lights has gone faulty due to the thunderstorm) And that got me a bit confused with cars coming from all directions... *panicky*

Got home.. but no one was around.
Eric is busy preparing for his exams while Eddie decided to hang out with his colleagues, which leaves me having to settle dinner on my own when mummy got home! She suggested to eat out and i was quite surprised by that decision. "Hmmm.." And that struck me thinking when was the last time we ever sat down and eat together. =)

Anyway, it was nice to be eating with mum. Though all we talked about was complaining how lousy the food and drinks there is and how certain stalls operate. (Trust me... they cant even get a "Teh-O" rite!)

Impressive Impreza

Posted by Picasa

Was passing by Ngee Ann City on sun and happened to see the Challenge.. Tired legs and hands were seen as the participants struggle through the hot weather. Think the lady on the boot of the black car won eventually. (I think it was her when i saw the papers today)

64 hrs of hardwork for a car of 60k... Hmm..

Mathematically
Gain of:
1hr = $938
Fame for a month....

Loss of:
Sleep
Health
Food
Torture

Of anger... tiredness & clearing mails

Munching on my juicy apple and updating my blog...

Nothing significant to highlight today. Work was very much normal. Boss is still down under for exercise and wouldnt be back soon. Shoulders getting heavier, but with mixed feelings..

Havent been reading much too since the completion of "The C words" Getting lazy!

Anyway, woke up on the wrong side of the bed today and felt moody. (haha... )Dunno why also.. but just didnt feel good.. maybe i demanded too much and maybe it is just me being silly. Luckily, i was busy this morning.. else i would have been nasty in office. **evil tots**

Bashed through jungle this morning too. (Kinna back to the old army days where we have to navigate ourself through the thick bushes of Brunei).. But this was different. Conducting site survey and almost got our vehicle stuck... What a tiring morning and came back all sweaty. eeks...

Afternoon was spent on briefings and clearing mails. mailbox getting large and out of control and time to sort out the 50 sub-folders in my mailbox.. not an easy feat!

And by then... its time for home...

That how bug's spent his day in office....

Ageing Body Cells = ABC

Im sufferring from ABC!!

Hmm.. my hands and back are starting to peel now.. * retarded reaction*

Well.. its almost 2 weeks since the adventure trip and im only getting the burnt now! The body is kinna slow to the reaction. ** issit a sign of an old body, taking a longer time to react to event??**.. If it is... its getting me edgy.

Anyway, it look gross with the skin getting flacky all again. (hopefully, it doesnt get worse) =p Luckily, didnt go to the H8 Alumni gathering as i tot i would probably be "roasted" if i were to be there, as i heard that HK didnt survive from that event and suffered from 3rd degree burnt!

So Aloe Vera and BIOTHERM moisturiser are my life saving creams for now and pray that I get new and beautiful skins! haha... (If only my face can get a new face lift!) haha....

A choice of complications

Joe said it was a bad time when i told him abt the scenarios that were presented to me. "Really a bad time" was what he said when we were dining at Bishan that night.

Maybe it was a test of faith from God to let me decide on what i actually want in life.. As Adrian also said the other night at Wala Wala... Its "sliding doors" came true to my life... A choice that will shape my entire life!

I still remember that show vividly when Adrian mentioned it on Friday's night. Images of that show in 1998 flashes across my face as if im "Gwyneth Paltrow" If you have not watch that show before, here is a background to it:

Sliding Doors (1998)
Directed byPeter HowittWriting credits Peter Howitt

There are two sides to every story. Helen is about to live both of them ...at the same time. Romance was never this much fun.
Plot Outline: A London woman's love life and career both hinge, unknown to her, on whether or not she catches a train. We see it both ways, in parallel.

Anyway, Been busy with work. ""With more powers comes greater responsibilities". That how im viewing life now. Paid to do the job and get the scoldings. Sigh... when will it ever be my turn to do the scoldings. haha.. Judging from my character... Guess it will be damn difficult to be scolding ppl.

** More white hair spotted... STRESS!!**
