The day when I took the public transport again

Hey... the feeling is really nice to be taking the public transport again. Hmm... recounting, its been 6 mths since i last board the MRT. haha... Not that Mitsu has broken down, but i shant explain why i actually had to take the train (Only the 2 privileged ones will know!. haha) ... but is was indeed fun.

Patiently waited for the west bound train to head to city hall.

Got a shock, when the train broadcasted abt spotting unfamiliar parcels and caught me by surprise as this message was unheard off 6 mths ago. haha... so it was an eventful train ride

ANYWAY... i must BLOG... its bday for MITSU today... no gift for him/her though...
shall consider giving him/her an off day and take the public transport again!! hhaa...

Environment: Desktop is still down... Certain components of the Motherboard have failed! sigh... typing from my lappie

Condition: tiring. Back from usual tuesday bowling. Feel good though didnt bowl well. Received the invitation to join "Singapore Open" and seriously thinking if i shld start bowling competitively again. Wonder if i have the time to train.

Doings: On a 3 day course in Spring Spore on "coaching for performance and development"

**Day 2 of my course **
The day started with Clara explaining on the key pointers that a Coach has to take note of. A little exercise follow suit whereby we were told to write something on each member in your group. I was in a writing mood today and wrote short notes to all my team members. Many compliments were given to them and was glad to see the smiles across their face. hmm... I felt happy too.

Of particular interest today was an activity that describes what type of coach you are. Hmm.. guess wat:

I am supposed to be a people's coach from that mini exercise. That means that i have others in mind more than the objectives that im supposed to achieve. hmmm.. quite reflective of who i actually am! **others before self**

@@Traits that these type of ppl have@@
- We make frenz easily though they might not be true frenz (Kinna sad)
- Easily conned (very sad)
- Indecisive (Ultra sad)

Sigh.. looking at all these traits.. it better off that i dont have that many frenz to prevent being conned!! haha....

Wrap-up: Shall do some story book reading later.... One more day before work starts again...

Task Completion

Completed what i intended to do today, but with great price... ** tiring**

Blade with Eric and Eilene as WX and Jem were as usual.. the kite flyers!
covered from mac-NSRCC-bedok and then fort rd and then back to mac... completely exhausted after tat...

Shopping next and bought a book. hehe... Titled "Flowers foor Algernon" This added to my long list of unread books.. hehe...Told joe that the only way i would read is when i have too many un read books on hand... the list is now as follows

1) half way through "blink"
2) chapter 8 of 40 of "the purpose driven life"
3) chapter 2 of the "rules of work"
4) page 4 of "the curious incident of the dog in the night time"

haha... judging from my reading speed.. it will probably take another yr before i reach "Flowers foor Algernon".. haha....

Next was bowling.. haha... was already tired by the time i reach the alley at 9pm. haha... but promised my sis to bowl with her as she had her company inter dept bowling coming up. haa... so no choice have to guide her along. Though i wasnt bowling that good (as usual), but bowling with the family is really fun. Maybe bcos we hardly have family outings and times like this do make it significant for me.. haha...

Well... achieved wat i wanted to do today.

Another weekend draws to a close and a new week unfolds... Mitsu and my Bday coming soon.. haha....

Restless day..

Clicking away on my new bought lappie. Hmm.. not a real need when i bought it, but more like a want. Helps me in my daily work and allows me to type and work on the bed too. haha.. However most of my documents and stuffs are in the desktop and will probably take awhile to get things being transferred over!

Sad to say... My desktop is jealous of this new buy and decided to go on strike! Damn.. think the graphics card spoilt! So probably gonna get it replaced tomorrow.. (more expenses!)

Did nothing much today, except played golf with ben and calvin. Been out of action for weeks as a result of my injured back. Luckily can still hit the ball. haha.. not too bad lei..

At the range today, there was this ger (dunno wat's her name), who was also practicing behind me. Nice and good looking, and also a student of my coach. haha.. calvin say she was good looking, which i tot so too. But I was concentrating more of getting my shots right than bade watching. Maybe its fated that we talked, when she almost hit the ball onto my head! kaoz.. Dunno if u called that lady luck! hmmm... but calvin told me that the ball just flew by me and i could have been in hospital now if the ball had struck me..

She was very apologetic over the incident and thats how we starting talking. haha.. nice voice and a very sweet/good looking ger! hmmm... well. hope to see her again! haha.... *devil me*

Anyway, had dinner with ben and Xinyi at Angpang Yong Tau Hu.. Delicious! haha,, havent had that for ages and it still taste as good as ever! Received the bomb shell that they have decided to get married! wow.. thats nice.. my fav couple is finally tying the knot...

Tomorrow is sports day! balding/bowling and shopping...

Relaxing weekend.... More hoildays to come..

Sharing some scenic photos from my latest weekend getaway... Dunno y i feel so scenic too, as i went all around taking photos of flora and the sea. Really relaxing to sitting by the beach and hearing the waves while reading a book. must do that often... (maybe its a old syndrome sign too! haha....)

A Mangrove swamp while on the way to the resort. A view that I hardly see in the city of S'pore.

A view while Bug sits at the jetty reading and njoying the sea breeze..

Clean and refreshing water.. Feel like dipping myself in it.. But i didnt. =)

Inspired once again

Been slogging off work with countless meetings that leads to no man's land and tonnes of piles up from NDP. Well.. that's life isnt it.

Looking at Batik's blog and realised that she had indeed shopped alot recently and recounted that i havent shop recently but still ended up with huge expenditures monthly... hmm.. something must be wrong somewhere... *scratch head*

Anyway... Bug's just back from a weekend getaway relaxing by the beach and watching the world go by me. Feel really shiok to be blown by the breeze while im reading my book and feel really inspired by the sea. The sound of the crashing waves on the big rocks make me really feel small in the world we are living in.

Feeling rejuvenated after a good weekend getaway and felt energised once again. My colleagues reminded me that i shld take things slowly and not "promised" too much for it may be my downfall if i start a "ra ra" show again. For once - I fully agree on this and shld start pacing myself this time round so that work will always be a constant pleasure for me... Cant always be feeling drained....

Once again... the antz has start to be hardworking again... and smarter this time... I have experienced much in the past yr and have matured much. Hopefully i can be as happy as many.. Shall share a quote by Joe:

" you will only be happy when you are satisfied with what you already have"

Big tots in this tiny Antz brain....

Been days since i last Blogged. Looks like the laziness is slowly but surely sinking into me.

NDP 2005 and the carnival @ marina is officially over! Hooray... A big load off my chest thats its over. But that also means that its time to start clearing the Big pile of back logs that i had used NDP as an excuse for.

Im partly lazy bcos im been busy reflecting on my life and spending most of my time thinking of wat i actually want out of my life.

"The Purpose driven life" has somewhat broadens my outlook to the world im temporary living in. This led to more indepth thinking to how i want my life to be and reflect upon the things that are ard me. Are they truly sincere? Are they here for a purpose and how i shld deal with colleagues/frenz and ppl ard me whenever things have gone wrong. Everyone wants to be appreciated and not taken for granted, but somehow someone has to be the baddie in order for things to get moving... Bug's dont like to be baddie... but i have learned to be one when the need arises..

Starting to appreciate the wonderful frenz i have ard me. Tks Joe and linc for the advices you guys gave. Its times like this that i truly appreciate the frenz I have and im sorry that i havent been listening to you guys cos im probably too "soaked" into the shit to realise that shit is ard me and an outsider point of view is what is required to pull myself out of it. =p

Sounds like im in deep tots.. haha.. but that just me... Being the Paranoid and ever turf gurding me. Taking small cautions steps in watever i do so that its always done rite. "slow and steady wins the race!"

Leaving you ppl with the quote of the week:

"Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved without that collective spark of enthusiasm"

The purpose driven life #1

Havent got the time recently to sit at my compie and typing away like this as NDP preparation gets more intensive and complex. I was also bogged down by numerous events and work that makes blogging kina a chore when u return home from work daily. sigh... Sad to say, but thats the real life that we face in Spore... highly demanding where we rush to meet deadlines.. Furthermore, boss been away frequently which means that i have to cover his job while he enjoys himself..

Let me just do a quick recap over the significant events that flashes passed my life the previous week.

- Played golf with Ben and Eric. Slowly, showing signs of improvements as the shots are slightly more consistent and flying further away. However, the troublesome back hurts soon after that and i may have to take a break and let it recover fully before i start playing again.

- The long overdue gathering. Well.. most of us turned up! Which was nice as we havent seen each other for quite awhile since the Chinese New Yr dinner. As usual, Jack was late! sigh.. haha.. Dinner at Olive Tree wasnt fantastic, but the atmosphere more than compensate for the food. hehe... But wat matters most is the camaraderie that the group share rite! May this friendship continue to blossom as we grow older. It was really nice to see ppl taking precious time off their gf to meet up. (Im sure all of us will continue to do that rite!)

- Watched CATCF with Joe... Boring!!! (dont get me wrong. Not that Joe is boring, although he sometimes do! haha.. but the show was!) A few events triggered this boredom! Firstly, we entered the cinema 10 mins late as i had to eat lunch and Joe had to do his shopping... This lead to us unable to find our seat in the cinema as the seats were not litted! OMG... Will never go to that cinema again.. Secondly, due to the lightings, i couldnt see the burger that i was easting and the mustard on it spilled onto my clothes. **TMD**... Luckily i managed to wash it off after the show.. Thirdly, the show wasnt that good.. Maybe i expected more after the hype it got. Well.. 2/5 stars if i were to rate it... certainly not my kind of show...

So that kinna sumed up my week.. Watch out for part 2 later..... Watch TV now... National Day in 5 Hrs time...
