~Wanton Saga~
As i was driving home listening to the latest album of Mariah carey, The Emancipation of Mimi, after my games at victors, there were many tots about my 2 weeks mission in Indonesia, as well as what to look forward to for the rest of the year.
Well, Im relief that im back to the safe city of Singapore and enjoying the beauty and cleanliness of the city as i was driving. Something that you dont get to see for the past 2 weeks. The roads over there were poorly lit and not clearly marked. You have to be "fierce" in order to survived on the road. cos red light actually means "drive with care"!! Horning on the road is also VERY common. well, if you dont do it, u are probably a foreigner in the country!
Hmm.. I do miss the Wanton Mee over there.. something different from ours. The wanton is actually 2 times as big as ours and so tasty. The Wanton Soup also cost us $3 dollars since we are Singaporeans, but very much worth the price. Well, you can see the smile in them when they see us at the roadside food centers, welcoming us to eat at their stalls. "ROBERT is here seems to flash across their face"
We asked the locals, how much they will pay for a bowl of Wanton Mee and guess what!! 7000 Rupiah, as compared to us paying 12500 Rupiah for a similiar bowl. We tried to bargined on our 3rd trip there, and the owner of the joint had the guts to say its only 2.50 sing, VERY Cheap!Well, we had no choice, but to eat! but on a light note, they are indeed tasty and will probably beat any Singapore's food court stalls!
Hope im not making anyone hungry here... haha... but im getting hungry as well too....
Yummy....
