Uncle Sam almost did it again

After 2 days of extravaganza in Chomp Chomp and Macpherson seafood, today was a day of hunger! haha... not that there isnt anymore cash left in the wallet for food (maybe that too!), but i was simply too lazy to have makan all alone. (Partly also due to 2 days of LS on the food i ate).

Suday was Hokkien mee, Stingray, sotong, carrot cake, kangkong which was followed by Crabs, steam fish, frog legs, more kangkong on monday when lincoln decided to have a big feast! (refer to JOE's BLOG for the pics!) On both nites, i returned with a full stomach, that makes u restless and un-mobile for the night..

And today was the other extreme, where hunger was killing me! I only had a plate of fried rice in the afternoon! didnt ate dinner as i was bowling and chatting with our NTU coach, who happened to be there too!

So it was another bad bowling day! maybe im just lousy! maybe i dont have it in me anymore! So many "MAYBEs" that makes u unsure why i wanna bowl in the first place! Its still a game i love (alot!), a game where i have many frenz (hopefully), and a game that make Anson what he is today!

I can see myself slowly getting my rythm back and understanding more of my physical and mental game and also starting to read the lanes and make my own adjustments where i cant do it when i started learning how to bowl. I have become more knowledgable and intelligent in the game of bowling which is also a reason why its so hard to let go.

Anyway, was bowling with Sam (national bowler) and he is a fun guy to talk to! Very hokkien-ish, but can be damn funny and chatty when he wants to. A true professional to the game and there is so much that you can learn from this guy. As expected, every shot he delievers is consistent and down goes every pin. (just like a machine doing the same job over and over again).

So in game one, he just keep striking and striking till the 10th frame where I tot a perfect game is on its way! He was pretty confident too and was relax. By this time, the entire allay had stopped bowling and came over to our lane to witness the 11th shot. There were many giggles and bets going ard to see if Sam can continue this amazing feat. Onto the approach and off Sam goes. It was definately a good delivery and he was raising his arms as he was certain it will be another routine strike. Ball went into the pocket and "fried" the pins. BUT.....and BUT... Pin 10 stand which made the crowd go "oooooooohhhhhh..." and the perfect game is gone!

He finished the game on 289, which won him a house award and cause him to loose 10k which he could have gotta if he had strike home!

Life is such isnt it! a little more luck and u could have gone a long way!

Anz
