A blog from office
Hi all..
I can't believe that i will ever (i really mean ever) blog in office. well, the feeling is different as nothing is flowing through my mind now, which translates to blogging rubbish. Anyway, i shall blog on my travel fair experience yesterday! (As suggested by Joe)
Well, I was there yesterday with Dino to check out the holidays available as we had both planned to go onto a vacation together. We started planning since last year in December, which didnt materialised till yesterday. Our plan back then was to go to Australia for a 2 weeks holiday in melbourne, brisbane, gold coast and end off at cairns. But that plan was called off after i volunteered for the relief mission in Indonesia. We started planning for a second trip in February after i came back from Indonesia but due to our hetic schedule, we couldnt find a common date what both of us are able to go on leave at the same time till May.
And lighting struck twice as my 2 weeks leave in May was shot down by the management due to manpower limitations and will only be allowed to go on a maximum of 4 days leave. There goes my plans for a holiday in USA. So we finally agree to put our USA trip on hold and go for a shorter and budget trip.
This brought the both of us to the NATAS fair yesterday to check out the budget holidays available. We were looking for either Thailand, Bali, Taipei and vietnam. So after walking round the booths, we narrowed down to Thailand and Taipei and subsequently to Thailand. However there were also many holiday destination in Thai (Phuket, Bangkok, Koh-Samui) and it took us some time before deciding on a holiday to Bangkok! Horray.. Im finally going away for a well deserved break !!
Well, wat makes this NATAS Fair interesting for me was that I got to know a ger (who is a travel agent!) .. She was quite chatty during our conversation and was quite a nice ger to talk to. Hmm... "Tao Hua Yun?" im not sure... but she sure is interesting. As usual, i stun ppl that i meet in 2 ways;
1) "you are 26 years old, I cant believe it"
2) "You are an air traffic controller, those that wave cards at pilots"
Sigh... Maybe i shall explain my job once and for all to my frenz out there! I DO NOT WAVE CARDS AT PILOTS!- They are marshallers.. !!!
So we chatted for awhile before she gave me her card and asked me to call her ... hmmm... should I??
